Overview

GCIC was established by Griffith University, the Queensland Government and the Gold Coast City Council in 2007 as part of a strategy to encourage investment into the region’s knowledge-based industries, generate economic growth, establish sustainable financial returns and increase the number of knowledge-based job opportunities for Queenslanders.

Its purpose is to facilitate the successful development of knowledge based industries in Queensland by providing valuable mentoring and support to entrepreneurs.

GCIC does this by nurturing its member companies through the critical developmental stages of business growth. With facilities located at Griffith University’s Southport campus, GCIC provides the necessary infrastructure and resources to assist both its residential and virtual members.

Residential members benefit from the flexible allocation of dedicated workspaces to meet their growth needs, whilst virtual members have the flexibility of external office space whilst still accessing GCIC’s meeting room facilities and full support programs.
